When it comes to Valentine’s Day, sometimes you can’t beat a classic “dinner and a movie”, or relaxed evening at home.

We’re also firm believers that whilst this day is traditionally heavily marketed towards those in relationships or “romantic love” – it’s up to you what you want to make of it, and how you want to celebrate!
We see V-Day as the perfect opportunity to celebrate self-love, your friendships and even fam/sibling bonds – no partner required!
In the spirit of this, we’re sharing some of our favourite suggestions for how to spend this day:
If you haven’t already heard of this term, it was coined on the TV show Parks and Recreation back in 2010.
The episode saw a bunch of close gal pals celebrate their friendship and appreciation of each other via brunch and gift-giving. It all took place on Feb 13th, the day before V-day.
As a concept, “Galentines” has been gaining popularity in friendship circles around the world ever since.
